The eye of this piece looks back and forth, and the lid can open and close. The body of the buckle is formed from heavy brass sheet.

This piece was inspired by a section of the novel Invisible Cities, by Italiano Calvino. He describes a place where people never speak to each other, where interaction is limited to glances and stares. In this place people are able to experience every thing, because their experience plays out in their imagination.
