This piece was made as a gift. It is a puzzle. As the candle burns, the hammers are released, and in theory would stamp letters into the soft wax below. With some analysis the letter could be decoded into a message.

To construct this piece I used some components from a typewriter, some that I fabricated, and some that I outsourced. I put great effort into combining them in such a way that they shared a common aesthetic.
