I love finding signs of civilization on the beach. When something man-made such as a building is abandoned or lost, nature reclaims it. Buildings decay, glass bottles are broken and smoothed. These kinds of objects aesthetically represent humans and nature at once. I left this ring in the ocean for a winter, so that I could be more involved in the process than just finding the object.
